Teen DBT Skills Group

DBT therapy is one of the leading therapy models for building emotional control, reducing impulsivity, increasing relationship effectiveness skills, and empowering people to manage and create a life that they enjoy. 

During this DBT skills group, teens will work through educational exercises with the use of art therapy / creative skill-building activities to help them develop the skills to be their healthiest selves. DBT therapy skill building can be fun!

About the Group:

Who: This group is designed for teens 13-17. All genders are welcome! 

When:

The in-person option for this group meets Wednesdays biweekly from 4-5 p.m.

This is a multi-week group series. Participants can join at any time.

Where: In-person groups are held at the Salyer Counseling Group office:

3615 W Pioneer Parkway, Ste D. Arlington, TX 76013

Online therapy groups are hosted on a HIPAA-compliant video platform and participants will be sent each week.

Cost: $45 per group, which includes all materials for the art projects as well as the support of the trained therapist as the group facilitator. 

Meet the Facilitator:

Leeann Martinez, LMSW is a DBT therapy-trained therapist with extensive experience in group facilitation for teens and adults. She has previously worked in PHP/ IOP treatment settings and is passionate about helping teens build the skills for life-long health and wellness.

In this group, she has combined her knowledge and training in DBT therapy with her love for art as a tool for therapy and self-expression.
