Bilingual Spanish and English Therapist, Trained Play Therapist
Accepting new Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care, Aetna, Medicare and Private pay clients at this time.
My background
I'm a trained Play Therapist and have been trained in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and received my Masters in Social Work from UNT and my undergrad degree from UTEP.
As a first-generation Latina, I have a passion to help support the mental health needs for those who are searching for a safe-space to explore and grow from life's challenges and transitions, especially within the family framework. I've worked within school systems where I provided students one-on-one therapy, while working closely with parents and teachers to best support the child's progress. I've also worked with clients of all ages in outpatient (IOP/PHP) and inpatient settings.
My view on counseling
I believe everyone, at any age, holds the ability to grow through difficult phases of life to foster healing and resilience. It is a privilege to be able to provide the guidance to help support that growth for my clients.
My areas of expertise include kids ages 3.5-10 to help address anxiety, depression, anger, behavior, connection, and more. For young adults and older I work with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and stress.
I believe the best therapy work is done when a genuine therapeutic relationship is created. I foster that connection by providing a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to share, explore, and process life's challenges and stressors.
